Would you believe it’s only four-and-a-half weeks to Christmas?  To alleviate the terrible shopping panic we’ve done all the hard work for you and have compiled a little list of treats for the book-lover in your life.  Be it a lovely literary object, a gorgeous new book or a readers subscription hopefully you’ll find some inspiration for family and friends, or maybe as your little treat-to-self!

Having recently stumbled across the bookshelf book & blog by Alan Johnson and been awe-inspired by some of the bookshelves out there we at book exchange towers started pondering the vital question – how should we really order our books?  It’s one of those topics that never fails to raise the blood of any regular reader, bibliophile (or book hoarder for that matter) and it would seem that whenever you think you have found the answer another system presents itself. 

Following on from the little list I compiled detailing my favourite books of 2011 I have decided to try and log all the books I read throughout 2012.  I have been gifted (or maybe lumbered) with one of those memories that is ridiculously sieve like, so this will be my attempt to remember for posterity all the fiction I read from one year to the next.  It would be great to have your advice and guidance on what to pick next so if you can recommend some future reading material based on what I’ve read to date please do let me know.  Here we go, wish me luck…
